Serendipity: a life lived in words

Serendipity is...

A showcase of work by elizabeth murray; short stories, articles, haiku, flash fiction, poetry, dialogue, and experiments. Like what you see? Contact me. I could be writing for you.

To enhance my resolution to read more poetry, I have created the Elizabeth Rose: poetry critique blog. To kick start this, Mario Petrucci´s In Touch has been the focus of my attentions; a modern day rhetoric on the ancient concept of eros using foot fungus as a focus. Intrigued? Then read it.

One Response to “New poetry critique blog”

  1. An interesting departure, but one that is obviously right for this site.
Many of us have struggled to understand poems at one stage or another, especially during the difficult era of 1912 when social dislocation gave an ever growing troup a voice and I have often wondered if my interpretation of a poem is what the author is actually trying to say. To have another critique such works can only help my development as a writer and person and I salute you for your efforts.

I’ll certainly be back for more of the same, and I’ll leave some of my ideas and thoughts for comparison.

I don’t know if you will be able to arrange this, but if any of the original authors would care to disect our critiques then we may have a real basis for a dynamic and valuable learning aid.

Thank you, Elizabeth Rose - your content is always fresh and invigorating.
