Elizabeth Rose Murray

This piece is particularly exciting for me as it is the first piece of paid creative writing that I´ve had published. Outside of Mslexia, there´s not many places that do pay. Competitions can be lucrative, but the competition and standard is high so you need to make sure you´re at the right level before submitting. Writers write because we feel compelled and until a strong literary presence and writing profile is established, seeing our work in print is payment enough.
