Seamus Heaney is kicking off the Dublin Writers Festival on Monday June 2nd at 8pm in the National Concert Hall. Except for the occasional interview, and the biographical book Stepping Stones: Interviews with Seamus Heaney, Seamus Heaney is known for keeping out of the spotlight. I´ve written a short overview of his work on the Dublin WRiters Festival blog.

It´s official – Dublin Writers Festival

Dublin Writers Festival is only a month away and I´m excited. it´s the eleventh year of the festival, and this time it´s theme is “the power of the word”. Not only is there a fantastic line-up including Seamus Heany, Melvyn Bragg, Colm Toibin and Sarah Waters, I´m the offical blogger for the festival. The blog is not yet live, but I´m meeting on Tuesday to discuss some ideas and necessary widgets and it will all kick off early the following week. This blog will slow down for a while, as my focus wil be on the festival and submissions, but I´ll continue the profile building series of posts as soon as I can free up some time.
